Yuta Fukasawa Solo Exhibition - Blue Everywhere - Works on Display "Um, Blue. It's no good just painting landscapes." I feel that I have usually explored connections with people using "landscape" as a medium. This time, I will try to explore the connection with people using the color "blue" as a medium. The color "blue" is a color that encompasses complexity and multifacetedness. It is a color that can represent not only things but also human emotions, such as the sea and sky or sapphire in terms of places and things. Seemingly relative emotions, such as sadness and melancholy, calmness and relaxation, can be signified in one color, blue."

CONCEPT
My paintings are a world drawn through my filter, which is different from the colors and shapes you see in real life.
In my daily life, I keep taking and leaving photographs casually using smartphone cameras and single-lens reflex cameras. The actual motifs depicted in my works are taken from such ordinary scenes of my daily life.
However, I treat the scenery in my photographs as a record of shapes and colors. This is because I do not draw and copy the motifs reflected in the photographs as they are on the canvas, but rather I place importance on depicting the way the motifs are perceived through the interaction between me and the pictures.
Then, the question arises as to what I am capturing and depicting in this interaction.
It is something that cannot be captured in a photograph and cannot be felt visually, so it is difficult to explain in words, but if I dare to put it into words, it is something that can be called "a unique human feeling.
But if I had to put it into words, I would say that it is a "peculiar human feeling.
I depict this wavering mind as if to leave traces of it by layering material brushstrokes that could be called "impulsive".
By doing so, I believe that the viewer can feel my breath and the passage of time as a painter through the thickness of the paint and the way the lines are drawn.
I believe that the viewer will be able to feel something, perhaps, because the lines are drawn by a human being in the flesh.
I believe that the feelings and attitudes that I put into my paintings honestly emerge as the expression of my paintings. The artist's mind is always in turmoil, trying to catch the shapes and colors reflected in his senses. What comes out in the end may be the world I really wanted to see.
