Oil painting Music Teacher.
I have so many memories about my teachers, as all of us do. Some of them were very nice; there was kindness, humor and wisdom. The teacher on this painting is the "strict but fair" type.
She could also be an old woman, who was a great pianist, and had a wonderful, interesting and eventful life; and now she is just sitting there behind the piano, and does not have any regrets about the past, for she does have something to remember. Probably in such a moment of relaxation an event in the past flashes before her eyes.
Or maybe you can make up your own story?
I used two different techniques to paint this. Walls are done with a pallet knife with the addition of a structural pasta in oil. All of the rest is done with a brush, in a much softer style.
This is a unique, one of a kind original oil painting. It was done in oil on stretched canvas, and carefully finished with a high quality varnish. It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
The painting is sold unframed, with a hook at the backside. All sides are painted in a deep violet color- close to black, so it can be hung straight out of the box. Of course you could also frame it later on, if you choose to do that.
