This is one of four small oil portraits I made last summer, each of which having a very simple portrait composition. My friend modeled for the reference photo, and I overlaid the gradient color of the sky at sunset over her face. I painted scenery of the sunset near where I live, including houses, electric wires, the moon and clouds into the background and added some abstract shapes to the composition.

Nadine Franklin is an artist from the US who is living and studying in Tokyo. She mainly works in oil painting, gouache, and watercolors. Nadine's work combines images inspired by her daily life in collage-like compositions. If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
