Description

The Bizarre series is inspired by the mental pressure of modern society. The paintings reflect the inner world that resonates with the desire to be valued, accepted and recognized. Sharttered - divided into four frames - expresses the vicious cycle of thoughts; at the same time, it also expresses that thinking is divided, sometimes trapped in confusion and melancholy thoughts, and then jumping back to the reality of normal, positive thinking. The overall abstraction of the painting is in the form of layers, using square thinking to express the inner desire to be recognized and accepted. This painting was exhibited in a solo exhibition

Concept

There are no limits on the journey of creating artworks; the only boundaries are set by the imagination of the artists.

My inner self is confined by being reinforced what the ‘standard’ of life should be since I was a child. The urge to break through the limits has led the present me to search for the freedom that I have always longed for through creating artworks.

Abstract paintings tickle the audiences’ creativity by prompting them to use their imaginations. The interpretation of an abstract painting can vastly differ given the timings, the emotions that one displays at times and the ways that one chooses to approach the painting.

創作的旅途是沒有限制，所謂的限制是自己製造的。

我看待人生的觀念可能和別人不一樣，而且內心的我被從小灌輸「所謂的人生該如何」而被限制。我在透過創作藝術啟發內心渴望的自由。

抽象畫激發觀眾的創意思維。當你在不同時間、不同情緒、不同的方式看待作品會呈現不同的感覺跟意思。這是抽象畫最迷人的地方。

What kind of hardware should I use for hanging the artwork?

If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.

If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
