    Description

Las Meninas - Spanish for The Ladies-in-waiting is a 1656 painting in the Museo del Prado in Madrid, by Diego Velázquez, the leading artist of the Spanish Golden Age. Its complex and enigmatic composition raises questions about reality and illusion, and creates an uncertain relationship between the viewer and the figures depicted. Because of these complexities, Las Meninas has been one of the most widely analyzed works in Western painting. The painting shows a large room in the Royal Alcazar of Madrid during the reign of King Philip IV of Spain, and presents several figures, but these artwork is a personal representation of this masterpiece. This painting was exposed during the Carnival of Venice 2017 at Palazzo CA' Zanardi by the International Art Show, It's Liquid, The Labyrinth.

  • About this artist

    Concept

    Artistic process

For twenty years of passion for painting, I am constantly evolving.

The different courses and workshops in which I participated allow me to research the shapes and especially the colors of which I studied the components and their use through oil painting.

I myself realize the mediums by following recipes found in the books of old masters which enter in the composition of the various mixtures.

This allows me to develop my personal technique to create the atmosphere in which I give life to the subject so that it is as harmonious as possible.

Every painting represents for me the beginning of an adventure and a new challenge. I see a way there of sharing my joy of life and my love for the nature, it's her who attracts me most with her various colors in different seasons.
