Description

This was painted when covid was at its peak. Hanami (cherry blossoms viewing) is one of the most awaiting event in Japan yet it had been cancelled in the last two years which was heartbreaking for everyone. It reminded me of how singles and couples, families and friends bond and have fun during Hanami. The composition was made from photographs I took previously at Meguro river Tokyo. Oil on canvas
