Description

A real place in Altai mountains inspired me for this painting. I was standing on a grass and watching how the rain was closing in.
"Gray" is one of landscapes of the series Corors of Earth. Every artwork of this series has it's own color. Here is gray, the color of rain and rocks. Here I simplify the scenery using plain geometry shapes and gustured texture. My goal - to show maximum expression with minimum resources.

In 2021 "Gray" got Special prize in Mellow Art Award (Japan)

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
