Olot is a town located in the north of Spain, in Catalonia. A humid place, with impressive volcanic landscapes, and unique gray and green landscapes. Its forests of beech, oak and holm oaks are very leafy as they often have rain and humidity. In autumn, deciduous trees change the color of their leaves in multiple colors of yellow, orange, red, copper, sienna, brown and gold, leaving multicolored carpets on the ground. After it rained, I was moved to see this variety of colors, making this place magical, smelling like wet earth with its leaves in transparent and lilac tones. I had the need to transmit this peace. I work with a lot of impasto paint on the ground and detailed and slow work on the backgrounds, made with glazes to achieve depth in the grays.
