OIL ON CANVAS
The Aran Valley is located in the Catalan Pyrenees, in the north of Catalonia (Spain). In this place I always find inspiration, mainly in the fall and winters. The incredible Nature is dressed in warm colors, between yellows, ocher, toasted temples, reds, forming true golden and copper spectacles. There are the buildings called bordas, with their slate stone roofs, which with the winter humidity and the mists, acquire silver tones caressed by a filtered light. All these factors inspired me to carry out this work, very dear to me, since it is a magical place full of intimacy and well-being.
Oil made with many glazes to achieve transparency on the roofs and with thicker paint combined with fine brushstrokes with much detail.
