OIL ON CANVAS
The Valley of Bas is located in the region of La Garrotxa, in the province of Girona, north of Catalonia (Spain). There are these typical constructions of the rural areas of Catalonia, called farmhouses, where people dedicated to working in the fields and livestock live. Areas of beautiful landscapes, where autumns and winters have a special magic. I am passionate about rain, snow and the gray lights they cause. It is one of my specialties, according to artistic critics. I am also inspired by the solitude of these places, the silence transmitted by winter and snow, which transmits a lot of emotion and nostalgia, factors that deeply inspired me to make this work of art.
Snow is a very difficult subject to carry out, since it is very difficult to keep it clean and show its transparencies, and because of its difficult and slow drying in each layer of paint.
Work with many layers of paint and glazes, with a very demanding detail job.
