The Heart of the Woods may represent the climax Agustina’s work in 2020.
With essential natural elements and a delicate symmetry, this piece could be seen as a sweet research of harmony, balance and beauty.
Although at first glance the frame can suggest being in front of a child’s dream, it also echoes religious themes in it with an apple under a tree; additionally, if we look deeper, we find a black hole in the exact middle of all the creations.
The Heart of the Woods is clearly divided in two, and the tree of life finds itself right in the middle.
On the right side we find the masculine. Here the sun reigns above all, nothing is even, and individuality finds his best representation through a black horse as the main character; then, on the left side, we find the moon, the night, the even creatures, two stars, two swans, and all the emotions surrounded by water creating the perfect feminine space.
The whole structure takes the spectator to an idyllic place on earth where Nature reigns
