The “After Party” project has been a continuous endeavor for me over the years. The numbering of the artworks has become arbitrary as I lost count long ago. In this particular painting, I decided to take a bold step and completely transform the color scheme. The use of predominantly red cadmiums creates a nearly monochromatic effect, intensifying the dramatic impact of the image. This was precisely my intention.
Despite the changes in color, the theme of loneliness remains a constant. Specifically, it revolves around the experience of women’s solitude after a party. This theme has deeply resonated with me for many years, despite not being a woman myself, as one might easily deduce. It stems from a simple act of empathy.
For some, this artwork represents a moment of understanding and self-recognition. For others, it evokes sentimental memories. And for some, it is simply aesthetically beautiful. Of course, there will always be those who may not appreciate it, but I understand that they are unlikely to read my descriptions.
