During my long-lasting professional life, I’ve contacted women hundreds of times. They were either professional models or quite ordinary people. Many of them have posed for my paintings, either partially or completely naked. However, none of them refused to undress in front of the camera.
In my opinion, that has happened because of women’s natural desire to show people their bodies, no matter whether they are beautiful or not. That’s on one hand. On the other hand, each woman has her own idea of shame and modesty, and that’s true.
A photo session is something completely different. These ideas may slightly or strongly change, or disappear at all. But this is not that case.
This work has never been put up for sale online. It has simply just happened. This picture is neither about the quality, nor about the topic. The point is that paintings sometimes live their own lives. I have just forgotten about it and now I have recalled it.
I have even started a special folder for such pictures. This folder is called «Pictures from the storeroom». There aren’t many paintings in that folder, but there are a few.
