Do you know the exact difference between winter and summer prayer? I’ve also thought about it and I assume, there is really a difference.
As a rule people are talking to God when they’re desperately ill, when they have a state of grief or deep depression. This talk is always very sincere.
When it really hurts, a person can simply scream like an animal. Be rest assured: God will hear this person.
Being desperate in summer is not as nasty as in winter. Thus the prayer in summer is calm and even somehow lazy. To be at the temple in summer is also more comfortable.
The prayer is different. Calm, even, rather meditative.
In winter, the sound of the sea, the howl of a blizzard will join your cry, cries of seagulls. And apparently this symphony of pain and fear reaches God better.
This is just the opinion of a non-religious artist.
Sorry for possibly offending someone.
