    Description

I captured the passion and energy of music in my artwork. The expressive color palette and lively palette knife work reflect the dynamics and emotions conveyed by the playing of the cello. The combination of oil paints creates a powerful, almost dancing play of light and shadow that underlines the intensity of the musical performance. This image brings a wave of inspiration and a touch of culture to every home.

A blonde woman with her eyes closed plays the cello.
The musician feels every note of her musical instrument. An abstract background mixes with the sad and lonely mood of the cello player. You can feel the music on her face.

Oil painting on canvas using palette knife technique, signed front and back.
Professional stretcher frame made in Germany, made from softwood. Stringed by hand.
    April 2024.

  • About this artist

    Concept

I was born on August 12, 1968 in Boleslawiec, Lower Silesia (Poland) as Miroslaw Kuzniar. I have been living in Heilbronn, Germany, since 1981.

I have 3 sisters and 2 brothers, of whom I am the youngest. At home it was customary for everyone to have a professional education. I decided to do an apprenticeship as a machine fitter.

I have been working as a freelance artist since 2003. I only paint with palette knives and oil paints. Certain motifs return again and again in my paintings, such as lovers walking hand in hand, mothers with children, cafes, colorful landscapes and city sceneries. I always see the beautiful life in my art. My color palette is purple, pink, yellow and bluish. And yet very much reduced. I mix the paint directly on the canvas.

Since I come from an old German family of artists, I didn't need to study art or attend any painting courses. The color was always lying around at home, I just had to use it.
I had my first art exhibition when I was 16 years old.

I paint very quickly. I finish every painting in one day. Unfortunately, I hardly have any photographs of my old works today. I never used to take photos of my pictures. And so I can't trace back how much I've painted in my life.

    I never got married.
I don't belong to any art association.
