  • About this artist

    Concept

My work is the result of the constant search for a middle point; the attempt to unite and reconcile contrary ideas and the search to make them coincide with each other. I seek to be, although I know it is impossible; be the much talked about "gold coin".
The implementation of "garbage" materials in my works is due to an event from my childhood, in which I kept everything but everything that had a face, which generated a feeling of guilt to throw it away with that fact, eagerly sought to give second chances to things, give them a new way to continue existing

When we hear the word Kabuki, many of us immediately think of the song or dance of the Japanese theater, by the way, little spread in the West; However, this word also means “something out of the ordinary” and this is the interesting part: the unusual, the unique, the unorthodox and the extraordinary that Japanese theater and culture offers the world.
In the case of the theater, we can enjoy the hyperstilization of the idea of man, in the theater, through makeup, the use of highly detailed, symbolic and majestic clothing, a man becomes a God, a monk, a great warrior and this is one of the great reasons why Kabuki theater manages to capture our attention and captivate our senses.
In Mexico, on the other hand, the simplest and most humble aspect of our gastronomy is “street food”. The clearest expression and syncretism of our culture is summarized in a glass of corn.
What is eaten on the street, the Mexican snacks, the least pretentious way, one for all: rich and poor, monks and sinners, warriors and pacifists, gods and mortals, as they share at the common table in the street.
