Concept

My journey as an Artist started at a very young age. As I young kid I use to always have a piece paper and some colors and would be drawing whatever that captured my eye. Art has been my passion then and it remains my passion now.

Becoming a professional artist came to play later on in life. I started with still life drawing and now my art has transformed, and I call myself an abstract artist. My art takes on an abstract interpretation of my inspirations and observations. As I engage with my surrounding and ambience it allows myself to be present in all of my artwork. Each piece reflects my emotions and the choice of color palette and technique I use differs as per my mood, season and surroundings.

I believe life is like a blank canvas that we paint our picture on. It doesn't transform to a beautiful painting from the moment you pick up that brush. It takes time, it takes stages, it takes waiting, it takes fixing and maybe starting all over...but through it all a beautiful picture transforms out of it. My art takes the same process. It reflects all of this and so much more. It captures my heart, my passion, my joy and the love of creating.

Buki’ – the name I sign on my paintings, is an expression of love for my parents, specially my father as it was his desire to see me pursue my dreams and become the artist that I am today. This is my sign of love on a canvas for them.
