    Description

    I have always been fascinated by F. Scott Fitzgerald's book The Great Gatsby. When I painted this, I was thinking about the book and the movie and its beautiful golden tones. It points to an era of luxury, joy and The book's title translates to Golden Hat in Finnish so I named it Chapeau d'Or. The upper part of the painting has beautiful golden tones that transforms to shades of browns, reds and soft whites. The feeling of the painting is fiery, uplifting, energising and luxurious.

    The painting is on museum canvas and the sides are painted with reds and browns. Painting it ready to hang but it doesn't have an additional framing.

    What kind of hardware should I use for hanging the artwork?

    • If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.
    • If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.
    • If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
