This is the Veracruz Church of Christ in Spain. The windmills in the distance remind me of Don Quixote. Although I got permission to paint the image taken by drone, it was too unclear. Even though it was unclear, I could not give up the desire to paint it in its beautiful appearance. It was a lot of work as a task, researching and correcting things here and there to achieve this. Thanks to that, I was able to learn many things. The warmth of the Spanish tiles, the indescribably simple and lovely colors of the walls. The weight of the masonry architecture with its bells. When I draw a picture of the building, I feel excited as if I am creating the illusion that I am building it myself. Since it is a church, I painted the cross brightly so that it is clearly visible. The bell is in its most active state. The masonry building in the foreground and the building in the background are made of different materials, but I was careful not to create a sense of incongruity. Since this is a small painting, I placed the main subject in the center of the picture in the foreground, and the rest of the scenery is in the distance. It is a pity that we cannot usually see such a beautiful church from this angle. I am happy to have been able to paint this picture. The outer frame of this work is made of birch wood, so it can be displayed beautifully as it is without framing. It is painted on a strong MDF board that is resistant to warping and humidity.
