The world is increasingly covered by plastic. Through this painting, my main goal is to raise awareness of the complex relationship between humans and nature, reminding people about the importance of protecting nature.
In this work, there is a mix of contrasting issues between modern human life and nature. through the use of distinctive techniques, depicting a fantastic ecosystem beauty created on the bark. This bark comes from the upstream civilization of the highlands in the heart of Sulawesi, an old tradition that has been preserved until today, 3600 years old. Indigenous people preserve it as a form of human appreciation for nature. Ironically, times have changed and industrial consumerism culture has spread, and cardboard humans have become a symbol of the world of consumerism and the materialistic side of modern humans. another expression in this painting as well, we can feel the existence of the two worlds that are interconnected but also often contradictory, a combination of humans and nature
