Description

This oil painting wants to take you inside a hunting action of a pack of wolves surrounding a deer. Your point of view is not that of an observer, it is active, you become part of the pack! Confirming this are the wolf’s ears in the foreground and it‘s like you are this wolf, pointing at the deer that’s panicking in the centre of the scene. The deer is represented in two different moments and in two different positions. Its eye is the centre of the painting. A forest of moss-covered trees, through which a golden, semi-abstract atmosphere is created, forms the background to the composition.
The gold leaf wants to emphasize the message of how extremely valuable nature and its various ecosystems are. Wolves are an important species for maintaining the biological balance of the forest. Gold has not only a decorative, but also a symbolic value in the composition.
