The children of the diaspora take what they learn in school and apply it to their grandparents!
Grandparents understand that these are sincere expressions of heartfelt emotions meant to be shared during few significant life events. Both sides are foreigners to each other! Actually, the majority of expressions occur through nonverbal clues like appreciation, respect, love, or returning favors in countless manners and gestures.
