I was a witness to this scene.
In 2021 India was one of the worst hit countries by the Pandemic casualties and tension was running high in the families. N95 mask was not yet popular and people were using cloth masks and all types of rumors were going about the protection with mask. So this couple in the neighborhood were seen just outside their door. When I appeared on the scene he could not shout at her and so kept staring and she could not put the mask on him and her hands dangled in the mid air and her face had a requesting smile. He turned at us and loudly said, 'she's forcing me to wear one more mask'! Can't forget the old couple's tryst with the Pandemic.
So I smile whenever I remember this scene. Since this image stays in my memory forever so I thought of doing this painting.
