Concept

My artistic expression has its roots in my junior high school days, when I began to aspire to become a film director. At the time, my parents ran a video rental store, and I grew up in an environment where I could watch as many movies as I wanted. Eventually, the era shifted to high-definition and the subscription system, but the original experience I had was on a VHS tape that was full of noise and poor quality. When the viewing experience of a story is disturbed by noise, it is a moment when you are suddenly pulled back to reality. Because of this, I believe that I was able to have an experience that encouraged me to think more deeply about the work, like putting a bookmark in a book and getting lost in my thoughts. The objective effect of noise and dust. I am trying to reproduce this effect in my paintings.
The narratives that I carve into the paintings are not just fictional stories, but always reflect contemporaneous topics such as criticism of the art market, anti-war, environmental destruction, and other social issues, as well as ridicule of self-expression on social networking sites. The idea is to give viewers an experience in which the paintings have a social connection, speak to them, and encourage them to think deeply about the events.
