This oil painting was a result of Alexander’s visit to Lipica in Slovenia, a place where one of the earliest stud farms in Austria-Hungary was established, which gave its name to this magnificent breed of horses. Lipizzan breed is closely associated with the Spanish Riding School of Vienna, where the horses demonstrate the haute école movements of classical dressage, including the highly controlled, stylized jumps.
The artwork is in private collection, but the artist is open for commissions and may repeat the artwork if you really like it.
