    Description

It is written in Japanese as a curse. As the characters suggest, the work is a bit scary, but the beauty that can be seen through it is the key point. The kanji and hiragana are superimposed. The word "curse" is not only scary but also has beauty. I hope you can feel this through my work. The point of this work is the blurring and shading of the characters. I was particular about the method of expression because the work is made with a small number of art materials. This is a work using Japanese paper. It will be delivered in a frame. Please be careful when removing the frame, as it is easily torn.

  • About this artist

    Concept

My goal is that people around the world will learn about calligraphy art and display it in their homes. My goal is to share calligraphy not only in Japan, but throughout the world. My works are not just calligraphy works, but calligraphy art. My works often have words written on them, but sometimes they do not. Even if there is writing, it may not be legible. It is a little different from traditional calligraphy because I do not look at the beauty of the characters, but rather value the coolness, power, and emotion that the work expresses. I love Japanese culture as well as calligraphy. I want to spread this culture to the world. I will work so that Japanese calligraphy will be favored as an art form even if the language is not understood. I hope that my works will be integrated into everyday life, and that they will help people to live happy and creative lives, as the concept of "coloring everyday life" suggests. I have always been a calligrapher, and I have always tried to write beautiful letters and various old calligraphy. One day, I was looking at past entries to the National Calligraphy Contest. One day, I was looking at past entries to the National Calligraphy Koshien, and what I saw was a work that expressed water in black ink. It was an avant-garde style of calligraphy, which is a little different from conventional calligraphy. As the name suggests, it was an avant-garde style of calligraphy, something I had never seen before. I was so inspired by that work that I continued to create avant-garde works of calligraphy. From there, I realized many new things. I used to think that calligraphy required the use of a half-sheet of paper and ink with a brush. I used to think so. However, since I discovered avant-garde calligraphy, I have been creating more creative calligraphy art (avant-garde calligraphy). There are not many people who create avant-garde calligraphy, and there are exhibitions where avant-garde calligraphy is not recognized as calligraphy and avant-garde calligraphy is not awarded. However, I have been encouraged by contests where people praise my work, buy my work, and recognize my work. I think the same thing can be said for our daily lives. Even if you have taken things for granted, if you change the angle a little or try something new, something interesting may happen. I hope that through my works, people will feel that it is important to challenge the conventional wisdom, even though it is difficult to stand up against it, and that there are many people who will accept this challenge. Avant-garde writing is a new genre, so not many people accept it. Different people have different definitions of what it means, such as that you have to be able to read or that you have to use a brush. For these reasons, I call my work shodo art. I don't think anyone can read my representative works. I don't think anyone can read my representative works, but many people say they are nice. I created this work with the hope that people would think it was cool. In fact, my favorite words are written on it. The point of attention is the power. It is interesting to look at the blurring and splashes in detail. The many techniques used, as well as the blurring, smearing, and splashes that only a brush can produce. If you pay attention to them, you can enjoy the work more.
