Paulownia wood board, sumi ink, and others are used. Washi paper is not used. It is drawn directly on the panel. Silver sumi ink is used for the background.

It is an ancient Zen painting that expresses enlightenment, truth, Buddha nature, the entire universe, and peace of mind. This work is painted around the left side.

Concept

Although I am old as a viewer and new as an artist, I always try to challenge myself by adopting new techniques and expressions without forgetting the spirit of life and motion. I mainly paint "Nihonga" using mineral pigments. Nihonga" is based on a style of painting that has existed for more than 1,000 years, and uses traditional materials that have been cultivated throughout history. The technique involves painting on Japanese paper, silk, wood, etc., using natural pigments such as iwa-enogu (mineral pigments) and gofun (gofun), and glue (nikawa) as an adhesive. Gold and other metal materials (gold leaf, etc.) are also used. Iwa-enogu, made from ores, is a beautiful, sand-like powder. Mizuhigure, made from clay, is a fine, stretchy paint with fine particles. Artificial versions of iwa-enogu and mizuhoshi egur are also made, and are available in a wide variety of colors. Goko, made from shells, is a white pigment with fine particles. What kind of hardware should I use for hanging the artwork?

If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.

If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
