IN THIS WORK TO GIVE THE SENSATION OF LOOKING FOR FOOD, I HAVE PLACED THE BEAR ON AN ICEBERG IN THE MIDDLE OF A GLACIER, WITH HIS HEAD STRETCHED TOWARDS THE HORIZON SNIFFING THE AIR, TO FIND THE ODOROUS TRAIL OF PREY.

Concept

The use of ink throughout history has been mostly focused on black and white writing and engraving in Europe. I feel admiration for the pictorial works of Asian countries and the use of ink itself in them. Mostly Chinese, Japanese and Indian painting. All this, over the years and the implementation in my works have allowed me to deepen my knowledge about the ink itself and the water that must contain these pigments, both in density and color. Once the ink is crystallized, the intention in my works is to generate in the spectator the sensation of seeing a painting that comes to life through three-dimensional effects by means of the vibrant and luminous colors that nature gives us through its pigments.
In turn, my works lead the viewer to reflect on different points of view of life that affect us all, such as climate change, the protection of habitats and their species.
