Original Japanese calligraphy written with Sumi ink on Xuan paper.
It is written "美"(Beauty) in Kanji/Chinese characters. In Japan, the concept of Wabi-sabi is known as a unique sense of beauty.
At the root of this concept is the philosophy of Zen. In Zen, beauty is not found in flamboyance, but rather in simplicity, ephemeral, imperfection, and humbleness.
I hope you feel the sense of Wabi-sabi, the beauty of the fusion between intentionally drawn lines and unintentionally smudged ink from this work.
The work is paneled, which is supported by a wooden board.
Metal hooks are attached on the back, it is ready to hang on the wall.
