Concept

The "calligraphy" he is aiming for is not what is known as traditional Japanese "calligraphy," but modern "calligraphy" that can be integrated into any scene in the world. It is not avant-garde calligraphy (sumizo), but something that can be read as a character and its meaning understood, while still containing elements of it.
While other calligraphers have used the calligraphy they have studied, and so-called "calligraphers' characters," he writes as a child would innocently write, leaving everything he has studied blank when he creates his works. Yet, the lines are well-honed and the characters, although avant-garde, are legible. This is the kind of calligraphy he strives for.
He writes letters, and letters have meaning. Taking this meaning into account, he creates his works with the hope that when people see them, they will feel relieved, be cheered up, think about peace, or feel something.
