Veles (Volos, Veles, Volos, Tavr Busich, Guidon) - God of the Slavic pagan pantheon. Veles is the God of three worlds (Pravi, Yavi, Navi), freely moving between them. God Veles was also called the Strong God (Asila), his children-heroes in Belarus are called asilks, or volotomania, that is, Velesich. God Veles is revered in the north of Russia as the God of Wisdom and Magic, patronizing Knowledgeable people. Also the Slavic God Veles is the patron saint of travelers. They also honor him as God, who bestows wealth and prosperity. Merchants and craftsmen who sold their goods turned to Veles for help and patronage. Velez is also known as the guardian of the boundaries between the worlds. It is he who transfers the souls of the departed across the Berezina River (the River of Oblivion) and brings the souls of babies to the Explicit World.
