Medieval natural philosophers, in accordance with the teachings of Aristotle, believed that in order to maintain movement, some force is inevitably required; without force, movement stops. Some scientists have raised an objection to this statement: why does the thrown stone continue to move, although the connection with the strength of the hand has been lost? In this work of art, the idea of some kind of impulse, spiritual impulse, wind of the soul was laid, which in turn should call for active growth, striving for movement and development.
