The artist stains the canvas, once the surface is prepared, he stands in front of it and observes it... he sees the cross, he understands why it is marked... he also sees a tree, and there is no other option. He cannot stop seeing these images, he has to bring to light what the stain has already shown. And he travels, and begins to remember... "from my childhood, the crucifixion made me feel something very strong, Christ always symbolized for me everything that was right, beyond faith, ideology or religion..." with that innocence of a child, seeing a person nailed to a cross, appearing so real, generated in him endless feelings. And he tells me "to this day, every time I enter to a church, I go straight to see the crucificion. There are many churches I have visited in different parts of the world, but the best representation is still the crucificcion of the church in my neighborhood, from my childhood". MC
