Using plaster as a base, I pursue a unique texture in these works. The motifs and concepts I draw are based on what I have seen, felt, and experienced. While admiring old techniques and aesthetics, I combine them with modern sensibilities and my own experiences to create new forms of expression. Weaving together timeless elements, I give form to my own unique view of the world in my work. This work was inspired by the gap between the parks, which are beautifully landscaped and crowded with tourists during the day, but become instantly quiet and unsafe at night.
