Description

The color of the silver foil changes to represent twinkling stars. The expression changes depending on the type of light and the angle of the light, such as natural light coming in through a window, sunset light, or warm lighting at night. Concept

I love the colors of Japanese paints and foils. I create abstract paintings by combining the colors of iwa-enogu (mineral pigments) and suihi-enogu (dried pigments) with silverleaves that have been sulfidized to change its color from blue to bronze. I use Japanese traditional painting materials and aim to create works with a Japanese atmosphere, which makes viewers feel strangely peaceful when looking at them.
