Description

A fluffy snowy day. Sulfurized silver foil is used to create a bronze-colored gradation. The luster of the unaltered silver foil itself, the dull light of the sulfurized silver foil, and the moist white of the gofun and soda powder are used to express a snowy day. The expression changes depending on the type and angle of light, such as morning sunlight, evening sunlight, and nighttime illumination. Concept

I love the colors of Japanese paints and foils. I create abstract paintings by combining the colors of iwa-enogu (mineral pigments) and suihi-enogu (dried pigments) with silverleaves that have been sulfidized to change its color from blue to bronze. I use Japanese traditional painting materials and aim to create works with a Japanese atmosphere, which makes viewers feel strangely peaceful when looking at them.
