Visitor from the moon

Concept

My concept is to draw a mysterious and fun world of stories. I draw by hand embroidery. When I was a child, I loved the various worlds in picture books. I loved to read the stories, but I also loved to look at the illustrations. I would open the pages with my favorite illustrations and lay them out on the floor, looking at them carefully. Each picture book world brought me comfort and vitality. Since that time, I have felt the urge to express the worlds I have created and love, and I continue to create artwork today. I like the atmosphere of "colorful," "delicate," and "a little mysterious," which I use as keywords for my works. The reason why I choose hand embroidery as my painting method is because it allows me to express minute details and gives depth to my works. I control the direction, strength, length, and color of the threads in millimeter increments to depict the subtle expressions, movements, and atmosphere of the characters and motifs. Embroidery is a repetitive process of weaving threads into fabric, and my consciousness is incorporated into the work. In addition, the material presence of the threads and the accumulation of time spent in their creation give the work depth and weight. I believe that this accumulation of energy and time leaves a deeper impression on the minds of those who come into contact with my work. I would like to create a fascinating and detailed alternate world in which the viewer can explore and be drawn into the world of the work. I would be happy if someone sees my work and feels joyful.
