This work is a powerful depiction of the Ganges River in India. Mimori became an artist from a trip to India. He began painting because he felt a strong desire to preserve in painting a scene that was too beautiful to be fully expressed in photographs. His particulate rock paints, made primarily from crushed ore, are composed of unique chemical properties that give each of his paintings a connection to the earth. Concept

Mitsumori's research investigates the root of everything that could exist in Border and executes it through a visual language that balances realism and abstraction. This begins with taking invisible abstract concepts such as time and emotion and bringing them to a higher dimension by presenting them with shadows, shapes, colors, and textures in actual landscapes and architecture. By assigning a visual vocabulary to a concept such as time, the artist express a reality that cannot be seen with the eye yet is certainly there.
