Description

In the forgotten garden of an abandoned house, weeds, a nest of something, and dragonfly wings are falling and shining through the trees.
The paper is thick printmaking paper Hahnemühle. The techniques used are watercolor, copperplate, woodcut, collagraph, acrylic, digital, and mixed media collage using these techniques.
Although prints and digital are used, these are one-of-a-kind originals.

Concept

Kaji Yoco paints a small world that can only be seen by staring at it.
He paints in abandoned gardens, vacant lots, bushes, and other places where people don't interact, because these places are full of life.

The works are painted in acrylic over watercolor with copper etchings, woodcuts, and collagraphs.
Collages of Photoshop-edited images of previous works are used to create a cycle of life in which one work is reborn in the next, like the cycle of life of plants, insects, and other small creatures.
