Description

In summer, walking along the Fontanka River embankment, you can see numerous tourist boats scurrying in the steely northern waters. They are absolutely all of different sizes, shapes and colors. Deftly maneuvering through the winding channels of St. Petersburg, they fill these harsh waters with life. Looking at these bright spots, you realize that summer has come to your city and life is beautiful.
The painting is made with professional watercolor paints on French cotton paper. Like any other painting, it is worth protecting from direct sunlight.

Concept

Watercolor for me is an opportunity to express impressions of what I saw in travels, to convey my feelings from the diversity and uniqueness of the surrounding world. With the help of a brush, I can show the barely noticeable variability of the atmosphere, air, light. Everything that can be instantly imprinted in memory, but so difficult to explain in words. I prefer the "wet" technique, when the paint is applied to paper soaked with plenty of water. I like that watercolor paints themselves are involved in the creation of the picture. Sometimes, on a wet paper sheet, the image looks fuzzy, a little blurry, like a memory or a dream. I try to pick up on the hints that watercolor gives me by interacting with the damp surface of the paper and develop our dialogue with it without turning it into an argument. Bring those emotions and energy that inspire me to work.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
