Pure encaustic, hot wax, and pigments on OSB.
Everyone is being held captive by someone or something. A feeling, a thought, maybe a person you want to get rid of. This artwork is about freedom, the desire for freedom, the breaking out of captivity.
In recent years, I have used OSB as a basis. By retracting the paint layers, I use the texture of the veneer as part of my compositions to create a unique rustic industrial atmosphere.
The painting is made with self-made paint, which basically consists of pigments and beeswax. Does not contain oil or other paints.
The work was on exhibition so it can be seen in an exhibition frame in the studio's photo. This frame is removed on request.
This work will be delivered with Care Instruction of my encaustic paintings and a signed certificate of authenticity. I ship this works in cardboard boxes careful wrapped in bubble foil and protecting the painting with cardboard.
If you like my paintings you can have a piece of art for your beloved place.
