I was growing up in the city Pécs (Hungary). I very loved the inspiring, eventful cultural city it was in the seventies. It is Hungary's fourth biggest city, full of galleries, museums, schools, and universities.
My pictures of Pécs remind me of that time when I was walking daily on the two-thousand-year-old stones of the ancient streets. I love the old part of the city, I painted them on the paintings about Pécs.
The artwork was inspired by the statue of György Kiss called "Jubilee Crucifix"
