This mixed media painting is all about layers, vibration between the colors and composition.
I use different layers of acrylic color, Conté color pencils, gold foil and much more (always respecting the materials compatibility) on 300gr canvas in cotton mix.
I love the freshness and dynamic movement of the colors that send the eye in all parts of it, like kids playing around in the yard, without thinking only enjoying themselves.
In all my paintings I feel the need to bring contrasting colors together and make them stay in harmony,
enforcing each other and making the view vibrant to the eye.
For this reason the painting is one thing from a distance, and another thing in close up view with hundreds of tiny details that one can discover through time.
This painting in particular was inspired by the plants growing in the mountain forest and shining through a soft filtered light from the trees.
