Description

This painting captures the dichotomy between nature and a consumeristic society. In geography, the antipode of any spot on Earth is the point on the Earth's surface diametrically opposite to it. A pair of points antipodal to each other are situated such that a straight line connecting the two would pass through Earth's center. Antipodal points are as far away from each other as possible. In this painting to top portion shows people patiently in line at a supermarket waiting to go in. The bottom part shows the forest and the lush greenery that brings fresh air to us all.
