BOWIE (COLORS) II

Concept

Music is my first passion.
I worked 25 years as a professional in the music industry in France.
After being a singer in the late 80's (with a nomination at Les Victoires de la Musique, the French Grammy Awards), I worked as a songwriter and producer for top-selling French artists.
During all these years, I did not stop drawing and painting.
Now painting has taken over and has become my first occupation.

The connection with music?
I would say harmony and rhythm.
Harmony because colors must mix together, just like notes inside a guitar chord, or different instruments that form an arrangement.
And the whole composition must have a “pulse', a rhythm that brings you somewhere else.

My favorites?
Portraits. I love catching the few elements that make a person unique.
Elisabeth Vigee-Lebrun, who was Marie Antoinette's official portrayer, said :”A portrait must be a beautiful caricature”.

What makes my art original?
Probably the fact that I have lived in Paris, Miami and New York and that today I have mixed all those influences.
