This artwork is based on my study of encaustic and colour.

The universe of colours is very rich and complex. Working to construct the tones and understand how they act and converse within the painting is a process that demands constant attention — the balance between the intuitive force and logical reasoning. When colours are thought to compose an abstract painting, they bring another meaning to the whole, and should be seen as a phenomenon of living experience. When I paint, I awaken what is "dead" through the colours in order to present a simulacrum of life and non-life. And the encaustic technique emphasizes the focus on the present, through the use of the attentive mind as a powerful object for artistic production. It is a demanding medium and at the same time flexible, because at any time during the painting, with a simple application of heat, the previous result can be completely modified.
