Breakfast at Tiffany's (in Spain, Breakfast with Diamonds, in Latin America Diamonds for Breakfast and in Argentina Little Doll Deluxe) 2 is a 1961 American romantic comedy film, directed by Blake Edwards, written by George Axelrod and freely adapted from the novel of the same title written by Truman Capote. It featured Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard playing the main characters, and a cast of supporting actors including Patricia Neal, Buddy Ebsen, Martin Balsam, Mickey Rooney and José Luis de Vilallonga. It was released by Paramount Pictures on October 5, 1961. Hepburn's portrayal of the worldly, naive, and eccentric Holly Golightly is generally considered the actress's most memorable and relatable performance. Hepburn herself considered it one of her most challenging roles, as she was very introverted and needed to play someone very extroverted.
