i always start with black ink. during the process of painting i add all possible materials. in this case i used gouache, aquarell colours, glue to create veins.
during my work on a series of trees i got the feeling that a human arm is kind of similar. strong, the hands like roots, the veins like branches. i wanted to achieve an image that shows strongness and stability.
i use to take any material that supports my vision. so it can be cardbox, paper, metal, rubbisch, any kind of colour.
