Life is what you make of it" is my latest painting in gouache on white cardboard, measuring 38x58cm. This composition features six women of very different characters and appearances. In the center, a nude woman stands in protest before a round stained-glass window. To her right, a woman in a military hat seems obedient, while the one below sports a flowery dress and horns. A topless black woman proudly displays her Afro hairstyle, while an Asian woman with long pigtails does not go unnoticed. Finally, a static woman on the top left is dressed in men's pants. Moths, a woman/bird in a pearl-embroidered brooch, and flowers are all part of the ensemble. This work symbolizes the freedom to be oneself, to take responsibility for one's choices and to reject what doesn't suit us. It encourages boldness and self-assertion, without worrying about the judgment of others.
