    Description

    Roxanne-Goodbye to the Red Lights came from my desire to depict my feelings about the Red Light District. Due to experiences in my own life and my personal journey, I learned God loves me unconditionally. Learning that, gave me the courage to say goodbye to some places and things that held me captive. The Red Light District has some captives, but people do leave and say goodbye to that past from time to time. In my painting, the invisible Roxanne leaves the The Red Lights behind, in this painting, and makes her way to a better life. The Original piece is 24"x36"x2".

    Concept

    Painting is a haven for me - it takes me to another place where the world is right. Creating art gives me a space to love myself and others - it allows me to quietly connect with the world in a peaceful way.

    My motto "Just paint!" means so much to me. When I pick up a paint brush, suddenly anything is possible. In my art, I combine oil paints, pastels, acrylics, chalk paint, and clay to create a total piece. My 11 step process never changes, but my subject matter does. The pillars of my artwork include flowers, abstracts, guitars, celebrity headshots, architectural structures, angel wings, and beloved furry critters.

    Does this art work need a frame?

    In many cases, art works with a canvas stretched over a wooden frame can be displayed as is. Thin art works other than canvases are easier to frame. For any questions or concerns please chat us.

    Are there other sizes for a similar type of artwork?

    What kind of hardware should I use for hanging the artwork?

    • If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.
    • If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.
    • If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.

    What happens after purchase?
